LEAVING TRACES

"This album will certainly leave traces in your heart for a long time for its entrancing atmosphere, deep wisdom and great beauty. Highly recommended." - London Jazz News

“Every experience and encounter leaves its traces, in you, and the other way around. These traces can be meaningful and you can get attached to them... or not” - This is a leading theme of the second album of Sietske and her band.

Leaving Traces is now available on all platforms.

The new album Leaving Traces is, like "Where it starts again" (2014), a collaboration between Sietske (vocalist/lyricist & songwriter) and pianist/composer Dirk Balthaus. Their style could be described as contemporary vocal jazz with classical and singer/songwriter elements. The band was formed in the spring of 2012 and consists besides Sietske and Dirk of: Marco Zenini (IT) on the bass, guitarist Eran Har Even (IL) and Efraim Schulz-Wackerbarth (DE) on the drums.

Refined in its detail, playful in its arrangements, honest, endearing and intimate. The light shines when Sietske and her band are playing…

Thoughtscape” - a landscape of the mind by the Dutch singer Sietske, as heard on, “Where it starts again” - a superb and soulful album.
— Thomas Haak, NDR (Germany)
Her core-skill is communication from the heart; with gentle power she seduces the audience to connect with each other and the world. A worthy aim.
