Thank you for surfing over to find out more about the Vocal groups I lead.

When & where
Twice a month Mondays (different groups in alternating weeks), Times: 18:30-19:45 and 19:45-21h. Location: “Muziekpakhuis”, Alberdingk Thijmstraat 19, Amsterdam (room 1.1; first room on the first floor of the building).

Cost
€26 per lesson (group size 4 or more people). Come see if you like it. In case you continue after your try-out enrollment is for the remainder of the semester.

* a semester is 10 rehearsals in the periods sept-jan & feb-june, depending on national vacations.

In short about me:
In 2012 I completed my bachelors and Masters degree at the Jazz department of the Conservatory of Amsterdam and partly abroad in Philadelphia (the city of bebop, and also hip hop & soul ;).

…alongside building a foundation of musical knowledge and skill in the genre of jazz and contemporary music I enjoyed specialisation classes at the musical theatre - and classical department of the AHK which resulted in expanded different technical - and performance abilities. After my studies, I continued to develop myself as an artist performing with my own band, and as a teacher/coach in singing and songwriting.

My first experience in working with a (vocal-) group was with a teen choir as the apprentis of a wonderful conductor who taught me a lot about this art, and especially how much fun rehearsing with a choir can be. From then on I started working as a conductor for various choirs.

For this group I aspire to create energetic and inspiring rehearsals where the focus is on the joy of the process of learning and growing together, while working towards performances as milestones for our musical adventure together. (More about me here)
